First Time Visitors

Greetings in Christ from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterville, Ohio.  Thank you for checking out our website!  We also hope you will check out our church sometime soon.  We pray for our church to be a place where people experience the love and grace of God, establish life long friendships, find practical help for life, discover and use their Spiritual gifts, and Reach Out to serve the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

If you are looking for church home, we hope you will consider becoming part of our community. However, we want to be clear that we are not in competition with other churches, but see ourselves as one part of the larger body of Christ.  Our prayer is that you will find a fellowship of believers in Christ where you can experience God's amazing grace, worship the Lord, grow in faith, and serve your neighbor in love.  Know that we are more concerned with how many people we send out our doors in service, than how many come in to our worship services.

Our Sunday morning worship schedule includes a 9:00am Traditional Service and a 10:45am Contemporary Praise Service.   Sunday School for all ages, including an adult forum, is held at 9:30am.  Children attending the 9am service will be released for Sunday School following the children's sermon. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated weekly in our praise service and on the first Sunday of the month in our Traditional Service.  Some people come to worship in formal clothes, some dress casually, some dress in-between the two--so don't worry about having to meet a dress code to enter our church, we want you to come as you are.  A staffed nursury is available during the 9:00 am service and the 10:45 service when requested--you even get a neat little pager that will tell you if your child needs you.  If you are interested in using the nursury, please ask an usher for assistance or follow the instructions on the nursury door.   

We have also added an off-site worship experience that meets Sunday evenings at 5pm.  If you would like to learn more about "Ignite Fellowship" our off-site worship, please visit Ignite's website.
